The UK National Pet Register is not just about lost and found pets, we are a community who can provide you with fantastic benefits from all pet resources. Funding and SponsorsThe UK National Missing Pets Register is fully self funded and supported. We are on the lookout however for sponsors or advertisers who would like to assist in the promotion of our website.About the Creator. The UK National Missing Pets Register was created by Steve Dawson in late 2005, who after the heartache of a missing pet, searched the Internet for assistance and found many of the online resources cumbersome and hard to use. Also many of the online missing pet resources charge a subscription fee before you can place a missing pet advert. Thinking this was a bit OTT for putting pressure on the pet owner; a new simple system was required. After much investigation, a simple registration process and missing pets register was required for all pet owners and their pets. As a freelance database programmer, Steve set about creating the online resource to be very easy to use and manageable by even the computer novice. Split into sections, the Pet Register, once a pet has been registered, it only takes a few clicks to place a missing pet listing with photographs for all web surfers to view and search.. A system is also in place whereby site visitors who do not wish to register, can place their missing pet on the missing pets database. This will allow maximum exposure for any pet which is missing in the UK. This Missing Pet Register website has undergone a huge transition from its first incarnation and is constantly being developed with new features to assist members and visitors alike in the search for their missing pets. Our databases are available for all government bodies, Police and Vets to search 24 hours a day, 7 days week. So if you would like to join us and help re-unite missing pets with their owners, we would very much like to welcome you. |
