Hello,

I wonder if anyone else has experience of this:

Recently my cat Tony has been wondering off whenever I go away. It's not like there's not anyone at home, there's still family there to feed him. Apparently he sat and watched me and my girlfriend drive off for the weekend and then bolted off down the garden. I've not seen him since 8th Sept so getting worried now. He's been away for 1-2 nights before, but not as long as this so far. I really hope he isn't heartbroken and gone off to find a new home. If I'm away on my own, he'll hang around but sulk.

My neighbour said he saw Tony about a mile down the road 4 days ago and I've checked and called out but nothing. We pretty much live out in the sticks in a row of 3 houses so there's a lot of fields and farms etc. Is it just that he's checking out or extending his teritory? Is it normal to stretch this far? He's neutered so I thought he shouldn't go off roaming. It's getting to the stage where I think we should stick up some posters I'm worried he's gone a bit too far and can't find his way back.
