Cats and foxes
My beloved 14 year old cat has been missing for nearly a fortnight, and people keep suggesting he has been attacked or killed by a fox. We have several foxes locally who hang around even in daylight, but I have never known them bother cats. I thought that cats and foxes avoided one another. Does anyone have any knowledge/experience?

I had exactly the same experience, one of our cats went missing and we were also told he could have been killed by a fox. Sadly we never found out what happened to him so I don't know whether a fox did attack him. Since then I have also been told that if the cat is fully grown and a good size then foxes won't attack cats but I don't know if this right. I hope you get your cat back safe and sound very soon.

RE: Cats and foxes
That is sad. I've never really heard much about that before but we don't have a big problem with foxes in this neighborhood. I hope that you find your cat. Keep us updated if anything comes up.
