Grooming Your Dog
Do you groom your dog daily? Personally, I don't groom my dog because he just shakes around.
What is the point of grooming anyway? I see lots of people getting the brush out and brushing the fur. I think it's fine when it isn't combed down.

RE: Grooming Your Dog
My dad gets his dogs groomed professionally, but my mom just brushes hers. My dad's dogs seem really proud when they come back from the groomer.

RE: Grooming Your Dog
I only brush him.
I am a bit careless I think about him.
But I love my dog, really.

I think just brushing is fine unless you're planning on showing the dog. My dog always enjoys getting brushed.

RE: Grooming Your Dog
I give my dogs a bath at least once a day. I don't want fleas and other parasites on them. Those pests can really take a toll on my dog's health.

this is what my veteranarian reccomends, but I can't find the time to do it regularly. Generally, my dog gets washed once every two weeks, but I guess that is better than nothing.

RE: Grooming Your Dog
We used to have this kiddie pool and I got that from my parents and use it to bathe my dogs in. I don't let anyone use it anymore because that would be disgusting. Needless to say, my dogs enjoy it; but I always make sure that it's a warm day whenever I give them a bath. I don't want them to freeze to death.

RE: Grooming Your Dog
I give my dog a bath at least three times a week. Dachshunds would really smell if you won't groom them well.

RE: Grooming Your Dog
Good luck with trying to groom my dog. He doesn't like it very much, and he certainly lets me know.
