Hi Guys,

I have a 13 month old long haired cat called Ginger, I've had her since she was 7 weeks and think she may have got lost. Since I've had Ginger she's been a house cat but has recently shown curiosity in going outside so have been letting her play in the back garden. Yesterday she managed to get into the alley behind my house, kept an eye on her and she spent most of the day sleeping under an old mattress. Today she done the same thing, but noticed at about 1pm that she wasn't under the mattress and have not seen her since.

My biggest worry is that being a house cat she is not aware of the roads and cars, also she is a silent cat, she doesn't meow or purr, when she tries to meow you hear the slightest little noise that sounds like a bird with a sore throat trying to chirp. Have walked around calling her but will not be able to hear her if she is trying to respond. Have left my back door open until i go bed in case she comes back?

How long do I wait before I officially report her as missing?????
