RE: IN NEED OF ADVICE
Nah, I see boxer and staffy. Most people wouldn't know the difference between a staffy and a pit anyway. I wouldn't worry about it, seriously.
Who has the staffy/pit then? Obviously nothing has ever been done about that dog.
Have a read thru this

And she's got a lot of growing to do yet, she could change a lot.

RE: IN NEED OF ADVICE
shes gorgeous, was listening on radio the other other day, & theres no test that can be done to prove pit heritage, as yet. and as no one else knows it shoudlnt be challenged anyway.
if you are are a responible owner willing to train her, it should never be an issue.
you clearly love her and will do whats right.
if the issue is really 'your' worry with her being part pit, address that now. i know the worry that can cause only to well.
if thats no issue, dont worry, train her well love her lots!
what i should add is that it is illegal to knowingly breed pits or pit crosses, if they continue to breed there dog in this way, something should be done.
my worry is that even though as you say with good training a pit can be as good as any other unfortunately, especially as there is now an illegal element to keeping them, some un savory characters may want them for the wrong reasons. also some less experienced owners may aqcuire one, and not know how to deal with its issues.
so keep an eye on these breeders. hopefully it was a one off mistake.
i add that many people trying to revive the pits in this country are mixing it with other breeds to disguise it. so its heritage cant be proved.
