Looking out for illness in your cat and know the signs ahead of time
Even with good care, your cat might not always be in the best of health. She could have a flurry of sneezes or a coughing spell. She may regurgitate occasionally, even if she/he is not seriously ill. If these symptoms persist, don’t ignore them. Take her/him to the veterinarian right away. Do you have any symptoms of illness to share that might help someone else out to know when they should take their cat to the veterinarian?

In the area's in front of the ears where the fur is thin, If the skin is flushed then that's a sign of a high temperature. A dead give away for one of my cats who has a more than healthy appetite is if he goes off food then you know he's ill. Although with my other two it's harder as they tend to eat less in hot weather and also tend to be fussy eaters.

That is a very good tip. Thankfully my cats have not been sick enough to have a temperature so if they do get sick I'll make sure to keep that in mind.
