Please help-Need advice, my cat seems to pee everywhere!

hi there,

i am looking for some advice....

i own 2 1 year old female house kittens/cats who go by the name of Peanut and Pickle....(they have not yet been spayed either!)

they have never caused me any problems in the past...except now i have moved into a new home where there are 2 other cats (1 male 17yrs, 1 female 6yrs), all is well during the day as i have been shutting them in my room just incase they fight with the others when we are all at work. They have their litter tray etc in there and use that.....until the door is opened as it seems Pickle has taken a liking to peeing on the beds in the other bedrooms.

i just wondered what the cause was? and if there is any prevention for this? other than shutting the doors or locking them in, as this just isnt fair on the rest of the family or my little babies!

Any advice is much appreciated.

Amy : )

Hi, i think it is purely a naural behaviour reaction to the other cats. they are trying to stamp their mark on the new territory and let the male cats know who's boss.
I have written several pages about urinating behaviour and what can be done. Here is the link if you would like to take a look.

I hope everything works out ok in the end as your cats become more used to their new environment and cat friends.Big Grin
