I have seen in a few of the pet catalogs that you can purchase a rabies vaccine and administer it to your pet on your own - has anyone done this?

The State in which i reside, doesn't allow pet owners to give rabies shots by themselves, they have to be professionally given at a vet's office. So I am not sure what the other states allow and don't allow.

It would make sense to me that this would be the case everywhere - but why would they sell them in the pet product catalogs then? Do the vets order from these too?
