Rolleyes  Shedding Fur

My dog Applesauce sheds fur like crazy. We always have to get the vacuum and literally suck the fur off right from him. That's how bad it is..

How do we stop the fur from shedding?

Never heard of this problem so I have no idea...ask Caesar Millan - The Dog Whisperer.

RE: Shedding Fur

We just got brand new sofas and my dog is always getting his fur all over them. During the summer when he brush him, he can fill up bags and bags of his fur and he still has a ton more. He's a Sheltie.

RE: Shedding Fur

I've always thought that their shedding is just a phase like us going through adolescence. I never heard anything like that before. Confused

RE: Shedding Fur

Shedding is a major problem with my dog. It's one of the larger hassles associated with dog ownership.

RE: Shedding Fur

I have heard of a dog pill that actually stops most dogs from shedding. I don't know the sideeffects of this, but you can go to the pet store and try and look.

RE: Shedding Fur

Maybe it's a normal thing for furry dogs to shed so much. Is it? My pet sheds fur too but not to that extent.

RE: Shedding Fur

You can ask your vet about it, there might be some shots or vitamins your dog can take in so that he won't shed so much fur. I don't notice my dog losing so much fur cos he only has a little. Smile

RE: Shedding Fur

I thought it was normal for many types of dogs to shed a lot.

RE: Shedding Fur

There may be something wrong with the dog if they shed too much. I mean, some dogs shed a lot, but if they shed more than normal, then you should go to the vet.
