how many cats are too many?

I am wondering how many cats you consider too many? I have a friend who has more than one dozen cats.

RE: how many cats are too many?

I would consider that too many. However, that is just my opinion. For me one or two would be enough.

RE: how many cats are too many?

I guess it depends on how well the person keeps their house clean. Also the size of the house could impact how well several cats would do.

I definently think that having 4 cats is way too many and they are just a nuisance that no one wants around. Big Grin

I think if you have two its fine. Anything more than that might be much.

I know someone that has 7 cats, thats like.. kind of weird.. KINDA...

I currently have two cats, sometimes they can be a burden, so I would never buy a third. I like my cats, but I think more than two, would just be to much to deal with. Especially when they are older and you have to feed them wet catfood, it smells bad.

Wow more than twelve cats that’s quiet a few to look after.
If its on a farm they probably fend for themselves, but if they live in a normal house all together then that is a lot!

I have 4 cats and they are not a nuisance at all, I Love having them all around me, I wish I had my tigger here with me too. I think Personally the amount of cats anyone wants to have is up to him or her, as long as they are all loved and cared for that is the main thing.

I want to say that if you have more than 7 cats, you are pretty insane. I don't know how you could feed all of them. You would have to buy like a gallon of milk a day just to get them to drink Tongue

One cat is already a handful, it is difficult as it is to try to keep it in the house. They will always have the urge to go out.
