Subject: Terrier, Wire haired, black and white Pet Type: Dog Date Listed: February 24, 2008 Area Found: Saltaire West Yorkshire WE FOUND THIS DOG Male dog, wire haired terrier (small) black and white (mainly black face), docked tail, brown leather collar. Unfortunately, no tag. We saw him along the canal by Hirst Wood lock on Sunday afternoon. He was following a couple who said he was lost and they thought someone playing on the Salts Sports Ground might have lost him. They encouraged him to go that way. Then we saw him again by the River Aire near the Salts Sports Ground. It was 5.30 and getting dusk. We took it home with us (and our two dogs) - gave him a meal and reported it to the Police. The reference number is F125/HD/0043766 We then took him to Keighley Police Station, Royd Ings Avenue at around 7.30 pm. We were told that he would be collected by the dog warden in a short while. Sorry, we couldnt keep him with us - we have two female dogs and one of them is old and fragile. He wasnt distressed. Coped very well in the car and seemed in good spirits. We took a photo of him for ID purposes. |
