Pumpkin is a beautiful, small, short haired female black cat with a tiny faint white patch on her chest. She is very new to the area (Walthamstow, between the cemetery & Markhouse Road) and could easily have got lost on her adventures. She was last seen at home on Sunday night, March 14th, 2010 in Brighton Avenue E17. She is a petite, smaller than average cat, quite timid around strangers and has an extremely high pitched meow. please call if you think you might have seen our Pumpkin. Wattie is 10 years old. He’s wary of strangers and scared of traffic, (he was originally a rescue kitten who’d been in a road accident prior to my adopting him). He’s always been a back gardens and alleyways type of cat. He’s a hunter but not a wanderer or a scrapper and has been neutered. He’s a stocky cat with quite a short tail; his markings are very distinctive. He has his top left tooth missing and a little callous where the bottom tooth sometimes catches it. He also has a small scar under his chin, from the reconstructive surgery he underwent following the accident. He has a white collar with multicoloured stones, and a gold metal identity tube with his name and my phone number inside.

Due to unforseen circumstances, I had to get one of my friends (who I used to live with) to look after my two cats (I live in Northampton and she lives in Archway in London).. however one was very distressed and wasn't eating (he's usually a glutton) and wasn't using his litter tray.. she contacted me today telling me all that he had got out and run off yesterday, they tried to tempt him back with food and shaking biscuits and she hasn't seen him since... I used to live at the same house with my friend when I first got the cats and we lived there for a year, but then I moved to Northampton.. so I assumed that the cats would be fine as they would find the place familiar. The other cat is fine, is eating and using the litter tray, and has settled in.
I know it was only yesterday but he had only been shut in for a few days and so didn't have time to familiarize himself with the place.. and the fact that he wasn't eating and using his litter tray prior has left me feeling very worried.
My friends are continuing to shake biscuits and leave food out, and are putting up posters tomorrow... but I was wondering if you could keep an ear out for any found cats, or even if you may have had one handed in already.
He hasn't been microchipped (I was planning on getting that done in the next week or so, so it's very bad luck for this to happen now), he has big yellow eyes, black all over, and has a small white patch on his belly... he has been neutered.. I think he may be distinguishable because he hurt the base of his tail a few months ago and the vet said it was slightly broken but they could do nothing for it but wait for it to heal.
I know that there's not much I can do but wait.. especially as I don't drive and my friend lives all the way in London... but I'm so worried and not sure who to contact who can help :( ... I was very apprehensive about getting someone to look after them for a little while anyway, but I'm currently living somewhere which doesn't allow cats for a month or so until I get my new place.
