He has a lump on the back of his leg and was due to see the vet the day after he went missing. Originally from Derbyshire, Rocco travelled back with me to Essex today (Monday 31st August) to start life in his new home. Unfortunately, as I was bringing his stuff in from the car, as I opened the door he decided to bolt past me and make a run for it.
I managed to find him again half hour later but he shot past me once more and, since then, I haven't seen or heard him.
I'm absolutely devastated - for him and for my family. Rocco has absolutely NO IDEA where he is and is totally unfamiliar with the local area; he'll have no idea where to head back to and must be feeling very alone right now.
He's an exceptionally timid lad and doesn't come to people easily. He's 15 months old, had a black collar on with a metallic ID disk, which has his name and his old Derby address on it.
