Cookie is a 3 year old male Jack Russell. His is smooth haired, with white, brown & golden brown markings. He has a brown patch on his back and by end of tail, and two golden patches over his ears and eyes. He also has a long tail and short legs...and a very cute smile! He is the most loveable Jack Russell, and even though he has been known to nip a few dogs in park (weve just bought him a muzzle), he is extremely friendly towards humans and would walk over to anyone to say hello - especially if they have a ball(or food!)

Cookie was last seen at 11:38am on 19th March 2008, weaving in and out of traffic (horror of horrors) near Junction 2 of the A1/M1 motorway, near Five Ways Corner and the Great North Way/Westside, Hendon, London NW4. The dog lives in a house on the Great North Way and has never ventured into the road before. He had just been washed (collar off) and had been in the garden, but must have smelt the scent of some squirrels, because he managed to escape under the garden gate, into the local park next door (Sunny Hill Park in Hendon).

The police received a call from somebody near the motorway at 11:38am, but by the time the police arrived, the dog was gone. The dog knows the area well and has not been seen by anyone in the area since. We believe he was picked up in a car by a passer by - which means the dog could be anywhere. The A1/M1 leads to most areas of UK - It's like finding a needle in a haystack. We have contacted Battersea Dogs Home, RSPCA, DogLost.co.uk, National Pet Register and have phoned all the local Dog Wardens, but no luck so far.

The weather over the Bank Holiday was so bad, and we are just hoping that Cookie was picked up by somebody who really cares about dogs, that he is warm and being well looked after. What concerns us is that this person has not checked any of the Dog Search sites and might assume Cookie is a stray. WE DESPERATELY WANT COOKIE BACK. HE COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE UK, so if you see a dog that fits this description, then please contact us ASAP. Its been a long week. PLEASE HELP US TO FIND HIM! Please call on tel. 07951 773 856. Many thanks.
