The bird was on the ground in a parking area under trees opposite the Castle Inn, Rowlands Castle. It had apparently been there all night as someone else saw it at the pub yesterday evening (28.07.26). It looked very tired.
I scattered some seeds and it pecked around but moved away when I tried to get too close.

Red tag/ring on left leg. Look like Y...?
