Found Bird Parrot, Parakeet from Kingsbridge Devon TQ7

This found Parrot, Parakeet Bird was found around Kingsbridge Devon TQ7

This message is about a 'SIGHTED BIRD'. I haven't caught him so far. This Parakeet has been in a tree and the shrubs here since about the 30th April 2017. It's now the 3rd May 2017.
I believe he? is a Red Crowned, Green Kākāriki.
I have told the local vets and the 101 police number. Also the local police Facebook site but I'm not sure they got that message as I'm not on any social media sites.
I am feeding him but I can only get to within a foot of him before he takes off. He runs, flies and swoops and is quite vocal, no mimicked human words though.
I have bought a large bird cage with a 9" square door that is so obviously a trap but what else could I do? There is food and water plus a treat or two in there. I have a string on the door so I don't need to go outside to catch him.
Please let me know if he's yours or someone who you know.
Thank you.

Red head, dominant green colour, blue side markings, just a few feathers like that. Also a grey beak with a black tip to it.
