Rainbow budgie - golden faced, turquoise/blue/green full body colour. Violet cheek patches. Opaline - no black markings. Blue hue to feet. Not ringed so difficult to know age for sure but approx 12 months, could be a bit younger, we’ve had him 4 months.

Lost in corstorphine area. Early afternoon on 21/12 Cage was being put into car and suddenly top of cage popped, startled him and he flew out, caught by the strong winds and carried off, difficult to know what direction as the sky was reasonably bright and he’s so small, it happened very quickly.

His name is Murphy. Loves to sing along to most music but of all the songs on the playlist he mostly sings along to Bed of Roses by BonJovi.

He is quite wary of hands so he likes you to keep them where he can see them. Not usually food motivated but if he’s been without food he’d be easier coaxed down from somewhere. He’d sell his soul for a millet spray and likes to do ‘get the stick’ as his first learned trick. (Just a basic hold up a stick and he gets millet if he touches the end with his beak)

Not done a lot of training with him so while he CAN follow the ‘come here’ command for a reward of millet, he might not know it well enough. Anything is worth a try if it gets him back to his warm, dry, comfortable home and out of the elements.

Any sightings appreciated so we know where to focus on. Reward offered for safe return.
