Bert is a large, fluffy black male cat with a soft long coat and distinctive ashy-grey colouring visible on his chest and across almost all of his belly.

He went missing on Tuesday 22 September 2026 from the Droylsden Road/Maple Avenue area of Audenshaw, Greater Manchester.

Bert had only recently started venturing outside and had never previously left the immediate gated alley near our home. He had been making short trips into the alley with his mum and littermates and was very closely bonded to them and to us. He is not known to roam and his disappearance is completely out of character.

Bert is extremely gentle and friendly and does not have an aggressive bone in his body. He is sociable with other cats but can be nervous or skittish around unfamiliar people.

We are asking anyone in the area to please check sheds, garages, gardens, outbuildings, vehicles and other enclosed spaces where he could be hiding or accidentally trapped. Any information, however small, could help us bring Bert home.
