Lost Cat Domestic Short Hair from Weymouth Dorset DT4

This lost Domestic Short Hair Cat was last seen around Weymouth Dorset DT4

Socks is predominantly an indoor cat. He enjoys time in our enclosed, walled garden under supervision. Every now and then he jumps over the wall and sits on the neighbours shed and observes the neighborhood. He is aware of the neighbours aged chocolate Labrador.

On the evening 19th May, he went out at 10pm, we were distracted in the house making tea etc so he was unsupervised for 15-20minutes. We went out calling for him at 10.20pm and there was no sight of him anywhere, we searched till 4am.

What we learnt the next day was that our next door neighbours on was visiting with his young husky, so we think that a)the husky scared Socks and be ran and lost his bearings, or b)the husky attacked Socks. The owner of the husky returned home to Norwich the next day so has been uncontactable to find out more. We have searched the neighbourhood, we have posted over 300 leaflets through doors, have checked multiple sheds and garages, the community have been amazing contacting us with potential sightings but there are a lot of black and white cats in the area.

If you do see a cat that you believe matches the description please take a photo and send to us as soon as you can. Socks dislikes being handled by strangers and can be aggressive when forcibly picked up, which makes it unlikely he has been taken in by someone.

He is neutered and chipped.

Distinct wonky black smudge across nose, black chin, white chest, black tail and has a baldish patch on right side from recent operation.
